Meet Our Team
Kimberly Wright
Kimberly Wright is a Cybersecurity professional. As the Founder of Future Tech Leaders, an education non-profit, she values bringing technology education to students. In addition, she understands the value of educating students about the career opportunities available to underserved communities. Her path into technology was untraditional, but purposeful. Graduating from Valdosta State University with a degree in Marketing and minor in Mass Media, she later decided to go back to school and received her Masters in Information Technology with a concentration in Information Security from Kennesaw State University. Currently, she works for the largest payment technology company.
It is her passion to help students take steps towards careers in STEM. Kimberly wants students to know that learning about technology can be engaging. Many students are not aware of the career opportunities that exist in technology. When she started her career in Cybersecurity, she had to navigate on her own. There were a few blacks in technology and specifically in Cybersecurity. Today, the number of blacks in Cybersecurity still has room for growth. She wants to make it easier for the generation coming behind. In addition, Kimberly would like to see more equality for blacks and women in technology. Future Tech Leaders is on the mission to inspire and transform one student at a time by promoting curiosity about technology. She is excited for what the future holds when the technology workforce is more diverse.
