Our Story
Kimberly Wright founded Future Tech Leaders with a bold vision: to ignite a generation of innovators and expand who participates in shaping the future of technology.
Throughout her career in cybersecurity and technology, Kimberly was often one of the few — and sometimes the only — minority on her team. That experience reinforced a powerful truth: representation matters. When young people do not see themselves reflected in an industry, they are less likely to imagine a place for themselves within it. Kimberly understood that expanding access and visibility is essential to building a stronger, more innovative workforce.
Future Tech Leaders was created to introduce students to technology early and connect those skills to real-world industries and career pathways.
Future Tech Leaders develops technical fluency, problem-solving ability, and innovative thinking while exposing students to industries powered by technology — from sports to entertainment and beyond. The goal is not only to prepare students for careers directly in technology, but to equip them with skills that can be applied in any field they choose. Whether they become engineers, entrepreneurs, designers, or leaders in other industries, they will understand how to leverage technology to innovate and create impact.
This is about more than career placement. It is about expanding possibility. It is about ensuring that more young people see themselves as capable contributors to the modern economy — not just participants in it, but leaders who can shape it.
We are building a movement where students gain the confidence, skills, and vision to thrive in a digital world — no matter the path they pursue.
Mission
To empower and inspire the next generation by providing access to technology, hands-on learning, and high quality tech education.
At Future Tech Leaders, we believe every student should have the opportunity to understand and engage with technology. We work to spark curiosity and cultivate a mindset grounded in critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving.
It is important that students recognize they do not have to be passive consumers of technology — they can be innovators who use technology to create, build, and solve problems in any field they choose.
By educating students about technology and its real-world applications, we help them discover career pathways they may have never considered, opening doors to greater opportunity, higher earning potential, and long-term economic mobility.
Through these experiences, we are preparing a generation of future-ready innovators who will shape industries, drive progress, and redefine what’s possible.
Our Vision
Empower the next generation to innovate and shape the future of technology.
